Whatever the season, Dunster is an idyllic place to stay.
In winter snuggle up and enjoy the warmth and smell of a log fire, wander outside and the whole of the village has a gentle fog of wood smoke. During the deepest of winter months, the night sky is at its best, especially as Dunster is in the Exmoor Dark Sky Reserve.
Spring time, the hedge rows are bursting with Snowdrops. A short trip to Snowdrop Valley provides you with a panorama of pure white – a breathtaking display.
Summer time provides breathtaking views of Exmoor, as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a stroll through the village and Memorial Gardens, and the exotic gardens at Dunster Castle. Paddle at Gallox Bridge, or for the brave, take a dip in the sea at Dunster Beach.
Autumn walks across the Moor are wonderful. A trip on the West Somerset Railway allows you to unwind and slip back in time to the bygone age of steam and the colours of the trees as you gently pass by are beautiful.
Whenever you come to visit, you are assured of a warm welcome.
